Anna announces holiday waste pick-up schedule

If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, no routes will be affected.

The city of Anna recently released its 2022 holiday waste pick-up schedule.  When a holiday falls on a weekday, collections will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.  If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, no routes will be affected. 

The first scheduled holiday in 2022 is Memorial Day on May 30.  People who normally have their trashed picked up on Monday will instead have pick-up on Tuesday, May 31.  Collections will then be delayed by one day for the rest of the week. 

The same rules will apply for Independence Day, July 4, and Labor Day, Sept. 5.  All customers will receive trash service one day later than normal. 

Since Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday, service for Monday through Wednesday will not be affected. Thursday routes will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 25 .

Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, so waste pickup routes will not change.
