Disabled vet surprised with new Melissa home

staff reports
Prior to the big reveal, the Holt family was told that they were taking part in the initial interview process with Operation Finally Home and Pacesetter Homes.

Last Tuesday, the Melissa Police and Fire Departments took part in a surprise groundbreaking for a local veteran.  Thanks to the Nation Operation Finally home program, U.S. Staff Sergeant Daniel Holt and his family are having a home built in the Meadow Run neighborhood at no cost to them. The effort was supported by Pacesetter Homes and MA Partners.

Prior to the big reveal, the Holt family was told that they were taking part in the initial interview process with Operation Finally Home and Pacesetter Homes. They were then told that the builder had been delayed, so they drove around to the neighborhood to look around.

The Melissa Police Department intercepted the car and escorted them to the home site. It was Veterans Day they won’t soon forget.
