The Anna City Council voted Sept. 28 to approve three multi-family development that had recently been approved by the Planning & Zoning Commission.  Together they will add 704 new units, including 185 designated for seniors over age 55.

Mayor Nate Pike noted that he was the councilperson who currently lives closest to all three proposed developments. He said the projects are a great opportunity to allow some density to come in. That will in turn give the city a better chance to add other types of developments that many residents have been clamoring for.

“I’m highly in favor of it because what this does is support our strategic plan,” he said.

The Parmore development will be located at the northeast cover of Finley Boulevard and Florence Way. It will consist of small multi-story buildings marketed as retirement housing development for seniors

Palladium East Foster Crossing will include 239 units aimed at seniors, families and working professionals. Developers say it will offer “luxury living with knock-out amenities.” That includes things like a resort-style pool, dog park and state-of-the-art fitness center. IT will be located along East Foster Crossing Road west of Highway 5.

The Grand at Anna Town Square will be located at the southwest corner of Finley Boulevard and Florence Way.  Representees from developer CLX Ventures cited The Grand on the Beach in Fort Worth as a similar property with multiple upscale amenities.
