Melissa Public Library transitions to fall programming
As the calendar turns to September, the Melissa Public library is transitioning to its fall programming. There’s a little something for everyone this month. Each Wednesday there will be special a event for homeschool students.
For those who come to the library hungry, Tuesdays may be the best time to visit. On Sept. 7, the library will host edible craft time at 4:30 p.m. featuring candy sushi. On the following Tuesday, there will be family build your own pizza night. It’s back to candy crafting on Sept 21 with the chance to make Jell-o aquariums.
Saturday, Sept. 11 will see two major events at the library. At 11 a.m., it will host an adult circuit class. Later that day, there will also be a stuffed animal sleepover for local youth.
Among the other library highlights in September are “Princess Performer Storytime” at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17 and “Choo Choo Magic Performer” on Sept. 24.
The library will recognize Fire Prevention Week at the end of the month. Local firefighters will join the homeschool storytime at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 29.
