An arrest warrant for a Memphis man accused of assaulting an Anna police officer during a June 20 traffic stop. He stands accused of aggravated assault on a public servant.

Body camera footage of the incident appears to show police asking 21-year-old Joshua Draine to “turn around real quick” in an apparent attempt to detain him.  At that point, the suspect began running away from police in the parking lot of the Flying J Travel Center on US 75.  One officer is seen attempting to stop him with a taser.  Police say that during his attempt to escape, Draine punched an officer with a closed fist. He then got into a pickup truck and fled the scene.

Officers pursued him for a short time until his car crashed near the intersection of County Road 937 and FM 455.  Draine reportedly then fled on foot.  Police searched the area but were unable to find him.  As of Tuesday morning, he had not been located.

Draine is described as a 6-foot-3 three black male who weighs approximately 180 pounds.  He has ear-length dreadlock style hair and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt with white letters and blue jeans.  Records show that Draine was previously arrested three years ago in Tennessee for filing a false police report.  Anna Police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the department.
