The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) recently announced that Anna Assistant City Manager Ryan Henderson had completed a year-long program from emerging municipal management leaders at the NCTCOG.

“We believe it will be individuals like Ryan that will keep our ration in the forefront of municipal leaders,” NCTCOG Executive Director Mike Eastland said. “It will also be progressive employers like the City of Anna who continue to support ongoing training and development in our industry.”

The NCTCOG is a voluntary association of more than 230 governments across the Dallas- Fort Worth region. It was created to help those municipalities better recognize regional opportunities and develop solutions that benefit them all

Twenty individuals were chosen by the NCTCOG to participate in the leadership program.  Over the past year, they attended monthly sessions to learn more about municipal leadership. They also participated in deep examinations of critical issues public officials face on a regular basis.

Henderson has been with the City of Anna for more than two years.  Before that he spent several years working for the city of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
