In district volleyball action at Gainesville on Friday, Melissa downed the Lady Leopards (0-3) in straight sets, 25-12, 25-6, 25-20. All the Lady Cardinals saw playing time in the win, except for Ally Marshall who was still out due to injury. With the victory, Melissa (2-1) moved into a three-way tie for second place in District 11-4A, with Aubrey and Sanger.

Caroline Kasson posted a team-high 11 kills for the Lady Cards and Brooklee Waltrip was next with seven. Alexis McCombs chipped in a personal-best six kills. Sydney Norton slapped a personal-best five service aces while Waltrip added four. Ella Branson and KG Matthews logged 14 set-assists each and libero Chelsea George collected a team-high 12 digs.
