A big first quarter set the tone for the Bushland Falcons in a 54-0 shutout victory against Muleshoe on Friday night at Falcons Stadium.
The Falcons end the regular season at 7-3 overall and 4-1 in District 2-3A Division I. Bushland will be the No. 2-seed out of the district, and will face Kermit in a Class 3A Division I bidistrict game.
Muleshoe ends a tough season at 1-9 overall and 1-4 in the league race. The Mules will miss the postseason for the first time in 22 years.
Bushland quarterback Wren Watson finished the night 14-of-24 for 256 yards with a pair of touchdown tosses, and a 13-yard TD run.
Running back Conner Childers ran for 69 yards on 10 carries with two touchdown runs and a receiving score.

DISTRICT 3-3A DIVISION II
Canadian 49, Spearman 24: The No. 5-ranked Canadian Wildcats won the outright District 3-3A Division II title with a 49-24 win on Senior night over Spearman at Wildcats Stadium.
The Wildcats end the regular season at 9-1 overall and 5-0 in district. Canadian improves their district winning streak dating back to 2012, to 33 straight games.
Casen Cavalier had a huge night under center for Canadian. The senior, playing his final home game, ran the ball 13 times for 115 yards with a score. He was also 18-of-23 for 222 yards with a TD toss. Running back Hayze Hufstedler went over the century mark as well, putting up 100 yards on eight carries. Hufstedler scored two touchdowns, on runs of 58 and 10 yards.
Canadian will be the No. 1-seed out of the district and face Anson in the Class 3A Division II bidistrict round. Spearman (6-4, 2-3) will be the No. 4-seed out of 3-3A Division II.

DISTRICT 1-2A DIVISION I
Panhandle 44, Sanford-Fritch 30: Panhandle used a strong second half to get past a gutsy Sanford-Fritch team 44-30 on Friday night at Eagles Stadium.
The Panthers finish 8-2 overall and 5-0 in district to win the District 1-2A Division I crown. The Eagles and Panthers were tied, 30-30 at the half, before Panhandle outscored Fritch, 14-0 in the second half.
Quarterback Braden Durst scored on a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs to seal the victory in the second half. Durst finished with 170 yards on the ground with four scores. He also threw for 62 yards and made two interceptions.
Panhandle will take on Post in the Class 2A Division I bidistrict round. Sanford-Fritch will get Sundown.

WT High outscores Sunray: West Texas overcame some early difficulties, before putting away Sunray 68-30 on Friday night at Comanche Field in Stinnett.
Down 14-6 at the end of the first quarter, the Comanches went on to outscore the Bobcats 48-8 over the course of the second and third quarters to seal the victory.
The Comanches (7-3, 4-1) go into the postseason as District 1-2A Division I's No. 2-seed, squaring off with Floydada at 7 p.m. next Friday at Falcon Stadium in Bushland.
Sunray (3-7, 2-3 in district) will go into the postseason as the district's fourth-seed, will face New Deal (10-0, 5-0) at 7:30 p.m. next Thursday at River Road.

DISTRICT 2-2A DIVISION II
Farwell dominates Sudan to clinch district title: The Farwell Steers had no trouble claiming the outright championship in District 2-2A Division II, beating Sudan 42-8 at Hornet Stadium in Sudan.
The Steers (9-1, 5-0) built up a 20-0 lead, before putting away with the Hornets (9-1, 4-1) with a 14-point burst in the fourth quarter. Ricardo Ortega led the way for Farwell, putting up 94 yards and two touchdowns on a mere 10 carries.
Farwell will face Van Horn (3-8, 0-3) at a time, date and location to be determined.
