Anna had three games in four days as it played catch-up after the rain dampened its plans last week.
It proved to be a tough week for the Lady Coyotes, who were eliminated from the playoffs after falling to Melissa, Community and Bonham.
The Lady Coyotes will close out their season at home on Friday against Princeton. Anna will be celebrating senior night before the game.
The Lady Coyotes lost 7-5 in seven innings at Bonham on Tuesday, despite out-hitting Bonham 10 to nine. Whitney Love racked up three RBIs on three hits for Anna. She tripled in the sixth inning and singled in the fourth and seventh innings.
Bonham was sparked by a pair of hitters who teamed up for seven hits and four RBIs.
Anna had to play from behind after the first, as Bonham scored four runs on an error — two of those came from a two-run home run.
After pushing across three runs in the top of the sixth, Anna faced a 5-3 deficit. A two-run triple by Love and a groundout by Dee Moreno set off a Lady Coyote rally. The Anna threat came to an end, however, when Foster finally got Bailey Prince to ground out.
Bonham piled on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth. An error scored the inning’s first run. That was followed up by a single, bringing home another run.
Two runs in the top of the seventh helped Anna close its deficit to 7-5. An error and an RBI single by Love sparked Anna’s rally. Foster got the last out, as Anna’s Danielle Gonzales grounded out.
Community scored 10 runs in the opening inning and 12 more in the fourth on its way to a big win over Anna in a make- up game on Monday. The Lady Coyotes had 10 errors in the game.
