Hola! We are continuing our free beginning Spanish class for native English speakers. The class will meet every Wednesday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. in the community room at the Melissa City Hall. It starts up again on September 18. On the same day, from 3:30 to 4 p.m., Spanish-speakers will informally teach a class for children grades 3-6 in the community room. Spanish-speaking friends, come out and help by conversing with these beginners and sharpen your English skills. The lesson handouts are also on the library webpage under "Adult Learning." Please be sure to check the signs in the lobby when you enter as the locations in the building sometimes change.

Game Day with the senior citizens of Melissa: All ages are welcome. Join us at the Melissa City Hall on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from noon to 3 p.m. and the third Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Check the signs in the lobby for location. This group does not meet the first Thursday of each month.

Bead It: Come to the free bracelet beading class on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Super cute, super easy, and super fun. Ages 8-and-up are welcome.

Savvy Seniors at the Computers: All adults are invited to spend some time with our tech expert. Bring your laptop or device or come use one of the library computers and learn how to create an email account, download pictures, try out social media (such as Facebook) and gather tips about how to make your tech life smoother. Almost one-on-one help. There are no silly questions, we all start somewhere. Join us on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the library. Just walk in.
