Senior Gaming Club Continues: Stop by for an afternoon of fun games and friendship on second, third and fourth Thursdays. This month we will meet on March 13, 20 and 27 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Melissa Public Library. Meet new friends and enjoy the afternoon.
Join us Saturday, March 8, from 11 a.m. to noon and take a second free armchair tour through North Texas: Ron Bamberg will present "Our Blackland Prairie Home." He will explore the natural history of the Blackland Prairie, its flora and fauna and the human impact on the prairie, including the role of agriculture in changing the prairie ecology. You won’t have to leave your seat at the Melissa Public Library, just come and enjoy a visit with an expert from the Blackland Prairie Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists.
The Good Book Club for adults is back on track with a different day and time: We will meet on Monday, March 10, from 12:30 - 2 p.m. in the library. We are looking for a couple of knitters to join us also for short knitting instruction either before or afterward. Bring the titles of a couple or three or even four books you have recently enjoyed and share a short description. We get great ideas for our own reading. This will repeat the second Monday of each month from now until November.
Top-selling Science Fiction book turned film comes to Melissa Public Library this month: Ender’s Game will show March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Melissa City Hall in the Council Chambers. Be aware, this is rated PG-13 for some violence, bullying and language. One item of food each for admission, please. In April, we will be Frozen!

The Melissa Public Library has started a board game group: The next game day will be March 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Melissa Public Library, with meetings on the first and third Saturday each month. If you have questions or would like to RSVP, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Get your pens and pencils ready: The Melissa Library Scribbler’s will begin to meet the fourth Saturday of each month to encourage budding and published authors in writing and publishing their works. This will be a friendly place to share your poems and stories in an encouraging place. Please pre-register to help our planning. The first meeting is Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Save the Date: Saturday, March 29 will be a ‘Soup-er’ fun combined activity for the Melissa Public Library and the Melissa Community Outreach with food and fun from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
