On Monday, April 25 officers responded to the 100 block of Stanley Falls regarding a vehicle theft in progress. Anna officers, along with Collin County Sheriff’s Office deputies, attempted to stop the vehicle on US 75and Mantua; however, the driver took off. After a 15-mile pursuit, the vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 16-year-old juvenile female, was taken into custody and booked into the Collin County Juvenile Detention Center.
Also on Monday, officers took a report in the 800 block of N. Powell Parkway where the homeowner said that his son’s car was keyed on the driver’s side.
"We are following up on some leads," said Lt. Jeff Caponera.
On Friday, April 22 officers responded to the 1800 block of Olivia Lane on a possible burglary in progress. Arriving officers checked the residence and after a walk through with the owner he said that a laptop was stolen. The case is under investigation.
On Wednesday, April 20 officers were dispatched to the Oak Hollow subdivision regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located in the subdivision and two juveniles, ages 15 and 14, were taken into custody.
