Joshua Johnson age 34, passed away March 2, 2020 in McKinney, Texas. Joshua was born Aug. 15, 1985 in McKinney. He is survived by Karen Duer (mother) and Dan Savage (stepdad), Wesley and Keri Duer (dad and stepmother) and Aaron Culverhouse (father); six sisters: Jenna, Morgan, Kaylee, Misti, Codi, Kaci; two brothers: Cody and Kenneth; James and Pauline Johnson (Grandpappy & Pauline); Linda Felty (Memaw); and Molly Culverhouse; uncles and aunts: Uncle Brad and Aunt Dayna Johnson, Uncle Robbie and Aunt Lisa Johnson, Garry and Aunt Jaime Powell and Jason and Andrea Culverhouse. He has many nieces and nephews and enjoyed all of the kids, playing with them or teaching them something and telling stories.


He is preceded in death by his Nanny Mozelle Strickland, Uncle Jeff Culverhouse and Bunky Duer (Granny); Great Grandparents George and Edith Johnson, Poodle and Venie Chapman and Myrtle Kuppenheimmer, Poppa Dale Felty and Poppa JH Culverhouse.


Joshua never met a stranger, fearless, brave beyond belief, he loved the outdoors, to go on adventures, fishing and camping. He loved every animal known; he loved training dogs and now he is with his Janie Girl in Heaven (his dog). He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, he loved playing the guitar and hanging out with friends. Josh lived his life exactly how he wanted to, on the edge.


His favorite phrase was “Whoppatango” and called himself a “Whoppatango Warrior!”
