The Anna Police Department responded to one injury accident and six non-injury accidents for the week of Sept. 2-8, as well as a number of other incidents.


The injury accident was on Sept. 7 at FM 455 and East Fork Circle. Two incidents were on Sept. 2, one at the Flying J on Central Expressway and the other was at the Walmart on the other side of the interstate. Sept. 5 had one non-injury accident. It was on the northbound frontage road of U.S. Highway 75 and FM 455.


Sept. 7 saw two non-injury accidents, one at FM 455 and U.S. Highway 75, and the other in the 1300 block of West White. There was one accident on Sept. 8 at Dogwood and Alder.


Harassment


On Sept. 7, a person called in a harassment report in the 300 block of Meadow Lark Drive. The investigation continues.


Burglaries


On Sept. 4, the Anna Police Department responded to the 2300 block of Luscombe for a burglary of a babitation call. The investigation is ongoing.


Anna officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Copper Switch Road on Sept. 8 for a theft of more than $100, but less than $750. It is an ongoing investigation.


In a different twist of the theft section, officers recovered a stolen vehicle on Sept. 2. It was in the Walmart parking lot. The investigation is ongoing.


Possession


Anna officers initiated a traffic stop at Powell Parkway and Rosamond Parkway. Upon contact, a 23-year-old female from Dodd City was arrested for possession of marijuana less than two ounces.


On Sept. 7, police officers were dispatched to the Walmart on Central Expressway for a possession CDS complaint. The investigation continues.


Driving While Intoxicated


On Sept. 8, two suspects were arrested for driving while intoxicated. One, a 46-year-old female from Anna, was arrested after a traffic stop on Dogwood and Alder. The other, a 24-year-old male from Allen, was arrested on South Central Expressway at Foster Crossing.


Fire Run Report


On Sept. 2, the Anna Fire Department was dispatched to Pate Way for a smoke detector activation call, as well as Elam Drive Cottonwood Trail, and South Central Expressway. There was not a fire at any of the scenes.


On Sept. 3, the fire department responded to a grass fire at North Central Expressway, and to Askew Drive on Sept. 8 for a possible barbecue pit/tar kettle fire, and South Central Expressway had a brush fire on Sept. 8.


Medical assists


There was one medical assist on South Powell Parkway on Sept. 2. Sept. 3 had three, one on South Powell Parkway, one on Florence Way, and the third on Bear Creek Drive. There was also one at Florence Way on Sept. 4.


There were three on Sept. 5 at Pin Oak Trail, Brook View Court and County Road 377.


Sept. 6 only saw one medical assist call, it was on Creekside Drive.


There were three on Sept. 7: One was on County Road 368, one was on Mahogany Drive, and the last was on County Road 377.


Sept. 8 had five medical assist calls. They were on Curt Street, North Powell Parkway, South Central Expressway, Elm Grove, and Westfield Drive.


The fire department also assisted the Anna Police Department with the automobile accidents.
