Chris Robert Perkins, 34, of Whitewright, died Jan. 21, 2019. He was born April of 1984 in Ft. Hood to Grady and Patricia Harpole Perkins.
Chris was a loving husband, proud father, wonderful son and amazing brother. Chris enjoyed being outdoors, going to the mud pits, playing games with his kids and building things with his hands. He was always tinkering on something. He loved working alongside his cousins and giving his sister gray hair, and as some of you may have noticed, he loved to talk.
When it came to food, he had a taste for the finer things in life, Ramen noodles with eggs, Little Debbie snacks (Particularly zebra cakes) and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
Chris was like everyone’s little brother, running around cracking jokes at your expense and giving people a hard time, but at the end of the day you knew it was because he loved you.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley O’bier; daughters, Braelyn Perkins and Tesslyn Perkins; son, Keagan Perkins; grandmother, Lois Harpole; mother, Patricia Perkins; father, Grady Perkins and wife Kevin; sister, Tasha Bugbee and husband, Matt; and brother, Jared Perkins. Chris is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Chris was preceded in death by his son, Brock Perkins; and grandfather, Roy J. Harpole. Chris was joined in his passing by son, Kylan Perkins.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 28 at King’s Trail Cowboy Church in Whitewright. A memorial service was held at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 29 at the church.
Services were under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Alstyne. You may sign the online register book at www.scogginsfuneralhome.com
