The Melissa Chamber of Commerce welcomed Elena’s Cuts to the folds with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 7.

Even though Elena’s has been open for three years, the business just recently joined the Melissa Chamber. The owner, Elena Torres, said she joined for a purpose.

“I joined the community to be better known by the community,” Torres said.

The Melissa Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bill Jones reported on the website, “Elena’s Cuts celebrated its third anniversary this year by joining the Melissa Chamber of Commerce. Owner and head stylist Elena Torres hosted fellow chamber members as well as the community at her shop located at 3330 W. Fannin Rd. on Saturday, October 7th.

Elena’s Cuts is known to the local community as a family friendly salon and barber shop. The staff is warm, welcoming, and very helpful so that each client leaves with their perfect style. The salons clients have made their opinions well known, ranking the salon 5 stars on Google, Yelp and Facebook.”

Jones said refreshments were served to guests. “There was meat and cheese platters, vegetable and fruit platters for guests. There was also cookies and cake, tea and ‘mimosas’.”

“It was a very well-done event and we look forward to working with Elena and helping her have a brighter future,” Jones said.
