Collin College has been named one of Dallas/Fort Worth’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For for the second year in a row by the National Association for Business Resources.
The honor recognizes organizations which practice innovative strategies and represent practices in a variety of human resource measures. In a random and anonymous survey of its employees, Collin College received high marks in the categories of: community initiatives; employee education and development; diversity and inclusion; and communication and shared vision.
“Collin College strives to foster a positive, productive work environment conducive to achieving our vision of ‘Delivering a brighter future for our students and communities,” Collin College District President H. Neil Matkin said. “The college appreciates this recognition of its efforts and will continue to implement employee programs and services that advance the college as one of the area’s best organizations to work for.”
Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO of National Association for Business Resources, said that companies that recognize that their employees are the key to their success achieve staying power.
“Our 2017 winners create their human resource standards to ensure employee satisfaction and they set standards for every business to aspire toward,” Kluge said. “We are proud to honor this year’s winners.”
The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For is a national program with annual symposium and award galas presented in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Houston, Milwaukee, San Diego and San Francisco. The college will be honored alongside other winners at a gala on Monday, Jan. 23 at the Dallas Arboretum.
