Crain's Howe debut a success

BY JACK WALKER

COLLINSVILLE -- The Howe Bulldogs scored a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to come away with a 26-12 win at Collinsville in coach Cory Crane's head coaching debut.

Both scores were set up by long pass completions by quarterback Chase Fountaine.

The Bulldog defense held off a Collinsville drive that had reached the Howe 8-yard line with just over seven minutes left in the game.

After being penalized half the distance to the Bulldog 4, Fountaine found Zack Hill in the left flat and his catch and run was good for 68 yards to the Collinsville 28-yard line. On first down, Towner Bailey found a crease at the right side and scooted in for the score.

Howe will play Chico at Denton's Bronco Stadium on Sept. 4.
