Howe Cross Country Seeks Continued Success

Howe coach David "Ish" Kaniatobe greeted 17 runners when he kicked off cross-country practice at 6:00AM on August 16.

The boys squad is a little thin with just three runners, all sophomores. James Rice, Blake Stuckey and Cooper Queen reported for the Bulldog team.

Seven senior girls will bring experience to their team, including Brooke Farris who will be looking for her third trip to the state finals. Joining Brooke will be fellow seniors Gretchen Debner, Ciarra King, Jesseca Franks, Megan Ing, Brittany Blum and Amber Thurston.

Coach "K" has a tough schedule lined up for his team and it all begins on September 4th when the squad travels to Valley View to kick off the season.
