Anna’s Lady Coyotes claimed the District 11-4A team championship for a second year in a row in Tuesday, April 3, at the Anna Sports Complex. Princeton’s girls finished second. Lady Coyote senior Sydney Jones was the Girls Singles champion, marking the third-straight year Anna has won that title. Mary Beth Geren and Angel Dube also advanced to regionals by winning the Doubles title. This was Geren’s second year in a row to be a district Doubles champion.


In Boys Singles, Anna’s Rowdy Lairson advanced to regionals, placing second to Britt Beadle of Princeton after a three-hour, 10-minute match. Ally Fudge and Jesus Garrido took second in Mixed Doubles and are also headed to regionals.


Anna advanced a school-record six players to the regional tournament, held this year at Longview on April 19-20.
