At the District 11-4A track and field meet, April 4-5, at Princeton’s Jackie Hendricks Stadium, the Anna boys qualified its three relay teams and three individuals for the area meet on Thursday, April 19, at the same venue. “A thin group of varsity boys competed really well at district in Princeton,” Anna boys head coach Jeremy Patton said. “Most all of the times we posted were season-bests, so we are peaking at the right time.”


Qualifying for area, with their times/distances, were:


-Second-place 4x100 relay team of Kareem Mason, Warren Mason, Aaron Lee and Josh Abara; season-best 43.55 seconds


-Third-place 4x200 relay team of Kareem Mason, Warren Mason, Aaron Lee and Josh Abara; season-best 1 minute, 31.9 seconds


-Fourth-place 4x400 relay team of Alex Parm, Jameson Henigan, Amyri Cox and Mason Massingill; season-best 3 minutes, 38.08 seconds


-Josh Abara; second place, 200 meters; season-best 23.29 seconds


-Aaron Lee; fourth place, 200 meters; 23.69 seconds


-Blake Tredway; fourth place, discus; 105 feet, 2 inches


Other Coyote point-getters at district, with their times/distances, were:


-Blake Tredway; fifth place, shot put; 42 feet, 7 inches


-Spencer May; fifth place, discus; 104 feet, 11 inches


-Mason Massingill; sixth place, 110-meter hurdles; 16.1 seconds

Overall, the Anna boys placed fifth at the district meet.
