PATTONVILLE — The Leonard Tigers rolled up 449 yards rushing to defeat the Prairiland Patriots, 54-22, in District 6-3A (II) action on Friday.


Ronnie Hart had 126 yards on three carries, J.J. Brian had 129 yards on five and Austin Wilkerson had 114 on 15 as the Tigers (4-3, 3-0) held a 47-0 lead before Prairiland (0-8, 0-4) found the end zone late in the third quarter.


The first play from scrimmage set the tone for the night as Hart broke free on a 58-yard touchdown run.


Only four minutes later Austin Wilkerson heaved a 60-yard touchdown pass to Byron Bolin.


Hart next sprinted in from 65 yards out and Leonard held a 19-0 midway through the first quarter.


In the second period Brian had TD runs of 71 and 43 to push the Tigers’ advantage to 33-0 at the break. During the third quarter, Brian added a 49-yard TD run and Chance Sanderson also had a 40-yard touchdown run.


The Patriots got on the board when Connor Sessums found Cade Gordan on a 20-yard scoring pass with 2:43 left in the third.


Wilkerson capped the scoring for Leonard on a two-yard run early in the fourth quarter.


Prairiland scored twice from there on a one-yard run by Garrett Fletcher and another Sessums touchdown pass, this time for 30 yards to Rayce Wilkerson.
