Update: Lewis Siblings Claim Hardware at State Games

In the July 25 edition of the Tribune we reported on the incredible Lewis siblings who were bound for the Texas State Games in Corpus Christi.

We’re happy to follow up that report with an update on Karrington, Kaylee and Kenney after what can only be called a successful weekend of competition.

Karrington, an incoming freshman at Melissa High School, brought home gold in the 4x100 meter relay with her team breaking the state record by running a 47.53. She also scored a silver medal as part of the 4x400 relay team and set a personal record in the 200-meter dash with a 25.5.

Kennedy, a seventh grader at Melissa Middle School, was part of the bronze medal-winning team in the 4x400 relay. He also set a personal record in the 200m dash running a 26.8.

Kaylee, a fifth grader at Melissa Intermediate, posted a pair of wins on the weekend, capturing gold in the 100-meter dash and the 200m dash. She also scored a silver medal in the 4x400 relay event.
