With just one more game left before district play begins, the Lady Coyotes are looking to get back on track before the games that really count. Anna’s skid continued, however, as it fell to Sanger and Aubrey, though the team showed improvement against Aubrey.
Anna will have Friday night off and will face off with Aubrey again, this time at home on Tuesday night in the final game before district play begins. On Sept. 27, Melissa will be in town for the district opener.
Anna traveled to Aubrey on Tuesday night for its final road contest on the pre-district schedule. The Lady Coyotes were able to take the opening game but fell in three straight sets to lose the match.
Mikaela Gililland led the team with kills and Amanda Mink led with serves.
In the opening game, Anna was able to play strong down the stretch and get a solid 25-22 win. In the final three games the balls did not fall its way and it lost 18-25, 15-25 and 21-25.
Anna was on the road in Sanger on Sept. 13 and got swept by the host team. The opening match was the closest when the Lady Coyotes fell 18-25. In the last two games Sanger was able to get double digit wins – 25-14 and 25-12.
