Dallas Baptist University freshman Camden Duzenack was named the National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball and Louisville Slugger on Monday. Duzenack, who came to DBU out of Melissa, tied a school record with nine RBIs in a Feb. 15 win over Mississippi Valley State.

For the weekend series, DBU’s starting second baseman hit an astounding .786 (11-for-14), collected 13 RBIs, and delivered seven doubles. Duzenack also went 7-for-10 with runners in scoring position, including a perfect 3-for-3 with the bases loaded.

Over the three-game span, Duzenack tallied a .824 on-base percentage, racked up 18 total bases and compiled a 1.286 slugging percentage.

Duzenack becomes the first player since DBU joined the NCAA Division I ranks to receive National Player of the Week honors.
