The Melissa Education Foundation held its annual scholarship night to honor those who earned scholarships and those companies and individuals who make it all possible.

The MEF awarded 31 students with $61,500 in scholarships on May 30. The Foundation and its awards keep growing as it had 25 lucky recipients last year. Helping MISD students in their college careers were: Melissa Christian Crafty Ladies, The Lacore Family, The Kocsis family, The Dotson family, The Dorman Family, The Zadow family, Tim and Julie Anderson, The Melissa Booster Club, IPG Insurance, BHip Global, Melissa Physical Therapy, Melissa Rotary, Masonic Lodge, VFW, McKInney Rotary and Wal-Mart.
