"Kiss the pig, kiss the pig, kiss the pig" chants from students at J.K. Bryant Elementary School in Anna were off the decibel scale, shaking the rafters overhead. It was payback time.

As art teacher Lauren Nixon explained, the school held a Thanksgiving food drive for Anna’s House, the mission center in town, and the classrooms that collected the most food were promised that their teachers would kiss a pig.

As the payback hour finally arrived, the pig was all smiles, and the teachers -somewhat less enthusiastic than the students - puckered up, ready to plant the big one. It was show time and the Bryan students loved every minute of it. No word on what the pig thought of the whole affair.
