On Saturday, June, 1 at 2 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 75 at Mantua Road. The passenger in the vehicle, Charles Brown, 25, of Sherman, was found to have three outstanding warrants. In the process of the investigation Brown tried to swallow marijuana. He was arrested on the warrants and for tampering with evidence. The driver, Corey Johnson, 21, also from Sherman, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

On Thursday, May 30, a resident in the 200 block of Niagara Falls Drive reported a burglary that took place sometime between 1 and 5 p.m.

"The victim returned home and noticed that her home was broken into and some items stolen," said Anna Police Sgt. Jeff Caponera.

On Monday, May 27, officers responded to a criminal mischief call to Jane Street and 5th Street where windows were shot out of a Peterbilt semi.

On Saturday, May 25, at 2:50 a.m. beer valued at $38 was stolen from Love’s truck stop. The suspect fled in a silver Lexus.
