On Thursday, Nov. 28, officers responded to a burglary of a habitation in the 1000 block of N. Powell Parkway. "An apartment was broken into while the residents were away and cash and jewelry were taken," said Anna Police Det. Pete Copin.

Also on Thursday, another burglary of a habitation took place in the 1600 block of Wildwood Trail with a number of items taken. Again, the residents were out of town. Additionally, a parked vehicle owned by the residents was broken into.

Both burglary cases are under investigation.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26, officers investigated a hit and run accident at the Flying J truck stop. "Someone hit a parked 2013 Volvo semi," said Copin.

On Monday, Nov. 25, a traffic stop at U.S. 75 and White Avenue resulted in a DWI arrest of Denison resident Jon Michael Rains, 29.
