On Saturday, Nov. 16, officers were dispatched to northbound U.S. 75 in the area of Foster Crossing regarding a call from a motorist reporting a black pick-up being driven erratically. The vehicle was located, and Van Alstyne resident Jack Baughn, 32, was arrested and booked for DWI, his second.
On Friday, Nov. 15, officers responded to northbound Texas 121 at C.R. 509 regarding a road rage incident. The victim stated that an unknown person in a vehicle threw out an object out of the car striking her vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, officers responded to the 100 block of Interurban regarding a stolen horse trailer. The victim stated that the 2005 trailer also contained several saddles. If anyone has information on the theft please contact Anna Police at 972-924-2848.
The marijuana plants seized in the drug operation shutdown in the West Crossing subdivision have been dried and weighed. Anna Police Sgt. Jeff Caponera said that based on the weight the suspects will be facing felony charges. "The marijuana has been sent to a lab for confirmation and once it is confirmed we will proceed with the charges," he said.
