Anna police made a noteworthy arrest, nabbing two of Ohio’s most wanted fugitives in Anna on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
"We received information from Ohio’s Dark County law agencies that, based on their Crime Stoppers tip, Joseph King, 24, and Tracy McCarty, 43, were in the Anna area," said Anna police Sgt. Jeff Caponera.
Both were wanted on outstanding warrants for manufacture and distribution of meth, and both were described as armed and dangerous.
Caponera said that the department’s two detectives, Steve Williams and Pete Copin, conducted the investigation and subsequently arrested both fugitives. King and McCarty are currently in the Collin County jail awaiting extradition to Ohio.
On Friday, Oct. 11, Anna resident Billy Beaton, 50, was arrested at FM 455 and U.S. 75 on an outstanding parole warrant.
"He was also charged with failure to identify since he lied about who he was," said Caponera.
