On Monday, Sept. 9, officers investigated damage at Slayter Creek Park where an umbrella attached to a picnic table was removed. The umbrella was subsequently located.
"While we don’t have suspect information we are reviewing video from the surveillance cameras," said Anna Police Sgt. Jeff Caponera. Anyone with information is asked to contact Anna P.D. at 972-924-2848.
On Friday, Sept. 6, officers responded to Independent Bank on a forgery in progress call. The suspect, Dallas resident Tyler Skall, 23, was attempting to cash a forged check and was taken into custody and charged with forgery of a financial instrument.
"He unsuccessfully tried to cash checks in McKinney and Celina," said Caponera.
On Thursday, Sept. 5, officers were dispatched to Subway regarding an attempted burglary where a southwest window was broken. There is no suspect information; however, officers are reviewing surveillance camera video.
Also on Thursday, a resident in the 300 block of Buffalo Bill reported that someone removed a passenger side mirror and some other equipment from a parked truck in the driveway.
On Wednesday, Sept. 4, Brenan Luther, who was found sleeping in a field in the 1600 block of Elm Street, was arrested for public intoxication.
On Tuesday, Sept. 3, officers responded to the 1100 block of Honeywell on a family violence call. Anna resident David Banzee, 26, was arrested for assaulting his wife.
