The John F. Greer Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Anna, has a busy December planned.
The group invites any woman, above the age of 18, who would be interested in researching their lineage to the American Revolutionary War to come to the next meeting to be held on Dec. 14 at 8:30 a.m. The group enjoys breakfast at the Hurricane Creek Country Club in Anna (cash only) before the meeting which normally starts around 9 a.m. The December meeting will include Christmas caroling as the group celebrates its chapter’s seventh anniversay.
The Anna chapter was organized on Dec. 9, 2006, and was named after Judge John F. Greer, one of the Pioneer Citizens of Anna who came to Texas in 1870.
In addition, the chapter is currently making final arrangements to host a genealogy seminary to be held Jan. 25 at Hurricane Creek Country Club.
For those interested in attending the Dec. 14 meeting, RSVP to Julie Preston at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Regent Brenda Moeller at 972-542-2201.
