The Anna High School Marching Band traveled to Commerce on Sept. 30 to perform in the NETEX Marching Festival and ended up impressing those who matter most. The band’s performance was deemed outstanding as it received First Division ratings (the highest possible) from the panel of three judges.

The band hit the road again to travel to Aubrey on Oct. 5 to compete in the Aubrey Marching Classic. Competing against 20 Class 2A and 3A bands, Anna again put on a show, finishing fourth overall and third among the 3A schools. The band also placed second in 3A for percussion.

Anna’s performances from both competitions are available on YouTube. Links to the videos can be found on the band’s website at AnnaCoyoteBand.net/students/.

The road beckons as the band is set to travel to Princeton on Oct. 12 to compete in the Princeton Marching Festival. On Oct. 16, Anna return to Princeton to participate in the UIL Marching Contest. The community is invited and welcomed to come out and support the Anna Coyote Band.
