McKINNEY — Patrick Anthony Turner, 32, of McKinney, passed away May 15, 2018. He was born May 12, 1986 to Tony Duane Turner and Tamara Kay Cottle in McKinney. Patrick grew up in Anna and graduated from Anna High School in 2004. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Anna FFA, TMPA and the Collin County Explorers. Patrick graduated from the Police Academy at Kilgore College. He was employed by the Gladewater Police Department, the Farmersville Police Department, the Van Alstyne Police Department and the Collin County Constable, Pct 3. Patrick was currently employed by the Prosper ISD Police Department with his K-9 companion, Kaz. He enjoyed golf, collecting watches and going to the gun range.


Patrick is survived by his mothers, Tamara Cottle and “.5”, Ivonda Mobbs of Melissa; father, Tony D. Turner; girlfriend, Victoria Pleasants of McKinney; grandparents, Pat and Peggy Cottle of Melissa, and Tony Turner of Van Alstyne; uncles, Vance Cottle and wife, Anna of Melissa, Shane Turner and wife, Rebecca of Van Alstyne, and Randy Turner of Van Alstyne; his faithful K-9 companion, Kaz; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.


He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rita Turner; great-grandparents, Doyle and Mary Ellen Parks, Clemmye Cottle and Pat Cottle; aunt, Judy Tait; and his beloved dog, Kimber.


A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 21 at Prestonwood Baptist Church North in Prosper. Interment followed at Melissa Cemetery in Melissa. The family received friends during a visitation from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, May 20 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen.
