Mary Lou Walton
May 28th 2017, Mary Lou Walton began not another mystery tour but started her greatest journey ever. The journey that would take her to heaven. Mary Lou loved life and painted it with the brightest colors in the box. She loved basketball, volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center, laughing and dancing with her family and friends. Mary Lou was an independent, strong, vibrant woman. Her life philosophy was “Find something to enjoy every day and always eat dessert first”. She had a very full life and traveled the world, visiting Paris, Hawaii, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and all 50 states. She attended Platter, Oklahoma schools, worked at Gibson’s and retired from Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center.
Mary Lou is survived by daughters Diane Perrin, of Colbert, Oklahoma, Deborah Toney and husband Michael, of McKinney.
Grandchildren are Brandon Jenkins and wife Kristie of Little Elm, Michael Work of McKinney, Amy Clipperton and husband Chad of Melissa, and Mary Helen Fisher and husband Jon of Colbert.
Great-grandchildren are Dylan Work, Tuesday Jenkins, Garrett Work, Kenzey Clipperton, Mary Elizabeth Fisher, Creighton Clipperton and Katherine Fisher.
One great-great-grandchild, Axton and numerous relatives and friends.
Proceeded in death by her mother, Tipp Myers Davis, father, Otis Davis, husband, Otis D. Walton; three brothers, Lawrence Davis, Carl Davis and Jessie Davis; five sisters, Juston McKinney, Winnona Smith, Katherine McClure, Elizabeth Chester and Lucretia Tally.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Colbert, with the Rev. Roddy Arnold, officiating burial will follow at the Garden of Memory in Colbert. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Colbert.
