Steel Magnolias to perform free concert in Anna
On Sunday, May 6, The Steel Magnolias of San Marcos, Texas will present a fully choreographed concert at the Calvary Baptist Church in Anna at 11 a.m. during the morning worship service. The public is invited at no charge.
The Steel Magnolias have sung throughout the United States for the past twelve years. The Steel Magnolias will be departing on a 10-day tour through Arkansas, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and Virginia on April 27. Their 2018 theme is: Sharing Jesus with URGENCY!
These ladies present as many as 150 volunteer concerts a year. They do not charge nor ask for a love offering. Your life will never be the same after experiencing the dynamic witness and singing of The Steel Magnolias.

15th Annual Melissa Open Golf Tournament
The Melissa Booster Club’s 15th Annual Melissa Open Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, May 5 at Heritage Ranch Golf Club in Fairview.
Check-in begins at noon on May 5 with the tee-off at 1 p.m. The cost per team entry is $500, which includes 18 holes of golf, a riding cart, lunch, and chances to win prizes.
The annual golf tournament is the Melissa Booster Club’s largest fundraiser to support extracurricular and academic programs at Melissa High School and Melissa Middle School.

Melissa High School’s 2018 Prom will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 7 – 11 p.m. at The Rosemary Barn in McKinney
Ticket pricing reflects the cost of a ticket for each individual attendee. Feb. 12 – March 29: $50 each April 2-30: $65 each May 1-11: $80 each May 14-18: $100 each

If a Melissa High School student wishes to bring a guest to prom who does not attend Melissa High School, they must fill out the Guest Approval Request Form. Please see the form for guest guidelines. Tickets cannot be purchased for a guest until the form is turned in and approved.
