Remains of what appears to be human were found in Anna on Wednesday. NBCDFW5 reported the remains were discovered by a construction crew in the 1800 block of Taylor Boulevard.
The family of a female who went missing in 2014 were contacted by authorities.
“Christina Morris disappeared from The Shops at Legacy in Plano on Aug. 30, 2014 after a night out with friends,” WFAA8 reported. “An acquaintance last seen with her on surveillance video in a parking garage, Enrique Arochi, was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of kidnapping Morris. Her DNA was found in the trunk of his car, proving to be a key piece of evidence during his trial.”
Collin County Sheriff’s department is investigating. The human remains found Wednesday have not been identified as of the afternoon and have been sent to the medical examiner’s office.
