To prepare for the opening of the new Melissa High School facility and North Creek Elementary School, a “Melissa Schools Move” is on the horizon.

Beginning with the 2018-19 school year, Melissa Schools will consist of Harry McKillop Elementary and North Creek Elementary, both with grade levels of pre-kindergarten through fifth; Melissa Middle School, grades 6-8; and Melissa High School, grades 9-12.

In March, the district will release school zoning information for Harry McKillop Elementary and North Creek Elementary.

The Melissa Schools Move will take place during the district’s summer break — moving dates are still to be determined.

Melissa Ridge Intermediate School will transition into our two elementary schools. Harry McKillop Elementary, located at 3509 Liberty Way, will have a grade configuration of Pre-K–5. North Creek Elementary, located at 4401 Cypress Drive, will also have a grade configuration of Pre-K–5. The Melissa Ridge building will house The Academy after school program for both elementary schools.

The current middle school facility will undergo minor renovations. Melissa Middle School will move into what is currently the Melissa High School building at 3150 Cardinal Drive. Melissa High School will move into the new high school facility at 3030 Milrany Lane.

School zoning, moving days, community involvement opportunities, and more will be made available on the Melissa Schools Move web page at www.melissaisd.org/move. Updates will be highlighted on the district’s news blog and social media accounts.
