The Denison will discuss contracts and funding for future water projects when it meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Denison City hall. The Council is expected to consider a contract with Atkin Brother Equipment Co. for construction services on various water line replacements. In a second item, the council will vote on directing for the publication of intent to issue $7.5 million in bonds for sewer and waterworks improvements.


Other items that will be discussed include:


• a proclamation for the Denison High School Robotics Team;


• an ordinance repealing and replacing the sidewalks and bike ways ordinance;


• a zoning change request from commercial district to light industrial for four acres out of the M.T. Young Survey; and


• the resignation of Council Member Janet Gott.


In a closed, executive session, the council will discuss pending litigation regarding 715 W. Sears and 617 W. Florence before reconvening in open session to take any necessary action.
