The Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new business to the folds last week. On Thursday, Nov. 9, the GACC hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate Henderson Home Inspection as a new member.

The event, which was held at the West Crossing Amenity Center, was a double event —both a ribbon-cutting ceremony and the monthly networking breakfast. Executive Director of the GACC Kevin Hall said this was planned for a specific reason.

“Jim, the owner, works out of his home, so, it was easier to celebrate his membership during the monthly networking breakfast,” Hall said.

Henderson Home Inspection offers home buyer, pre-listing seller and 11-month warranty inspections. They also offer new construction phase, homeowner yearly maintenance and storm damage assessment inspection.

The owner of Henderson Inspection, Jim Henderson, said he has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and is American Home Inspector Training certified. Henderson is a Texas Real Estate Commission Licensed Professional Real Estate Inspector, which is the highest designation available through the Texas Real Estate Commission.

“My business is focused on residential and commercial real estate inspections in Colling County and the surrounding area,” Henderson said.

Henderson has served on several boards and committees over the years. He was recently elected as vice-chairman of the Collin County Association of Realtors Inspector’s Committee. He also served as a member of the National Presidential HVAC Advisory board, a member of the city of McKinney Building and Standards Commission, and a member of the city of Melissa City Hall Construction Oversight Committee.

He was also an instructor for the Home Builder’s Institute out of Washington, DC, as a building construction technology instructor for approximately 16 years. Henderson was an OSHA 500 trainer for 10 years, training the other trainers on construction site safety.

Henderson has roots in and knows all about the realty scene. He previously served as a realtor for Keller Williams Realty.

Hall said it is a blessing to have Henderson Home Inspections join the chamber. “With the housing industry booming in our area, it is nice to have a home inspector as a member,” Hall said. “If you’re looking to buy or sell your home, having a trustworthy inspection can be the difference between ‘woohoo’ and ‘what now?’ Thanksgiving is just around the corner and the chamber is thankful for each ribbon-cutting, as it represents the positive growth of our city, as well as, vitality of our chamber.”
