The Anna Highschool Scholarship Foundation was proud to announce at this year’s AHS Awards Ceremony that the Foundation was able to give $25,000 in scholarships to financially in-need Anna graduates from the 2016/17 school year. This tremendous feat was made possible by the support of the community.

Four financially in-need 2017 Anna High School graduates — students who need money for the increasingly inflating cost of a higher education — received $1,500 each. The remaining $19,000 balance will be shared by eleven past graduates who are currently in college or a technical school. All students awarded meet the elegibility requirements, with student selection based off of parental income.

Donations from the community support youth in becoming better citizens. If requested, those who donate financially can be sent a plaque. They will also be mentioned in a quarter page ad that will run in the Tribune the week prior to Thanksgiving, be named on an insert in the AISD Senior High School Awards Program, be named in many of the news releases by the Foundation and be listed on the Foundation website, which is www.AnnaScholarships.org.

The Foundation needs the support of the community to assist the students as they work to find sources to meet the increased needs of the Anna High School graduates. Help qualified Anna youth lower their post-secondary education debt by donating to a worthy cause. For more information, visit the Foundation website or call 972-924-3202.
