Below is a summary of the Anna Police Department reports for the week. Officers responded to 185 total calls for service.


Anna Police


Theft- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 7 to the Walmart located at the 521 block of South Central Expressway. A report for theft from $100 to $750 was taken. Two arrests were made, with both arrested persons being from Denison.

Violence- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 8 to the 1800 block of Cedar Wood Trail. An information report was made on grounds of family violence.


Vehicle- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 9 to US 75 at CR 371 due to a case of apparent road rage. An arrest was made for a man from Mesquite.


Assault- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 9 to the Walmart located at the 521 block of South Central Expressway. A man from Anna was arrested on groups of assault causing bodily injury, also classified as family violence.


Verbal- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 8 to the 300 block of Meadow View due to a report for verbal disturbance. An arrest was made for a man from New Iberia, Louisiana.


Burglary- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 7 to the Goody Goody Liquor located at the 824 block of South Central Expressway for reports of burglary of building.


Stalking- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 6 to the Walmart located at the 521 block of South Central Expressway. A citizen from Sherman was arrested for reports of stalking and family violence.


Suspicion- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 7 to the intersection of West White Street and Buffalo Bill Drive. An arrest was made for a male from Anna on reports of suspicious person.


Information- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 5 to Anna High School located at the 1107 block of Rosamound Parkway for an Information report.


Burglary- A burglary of vehicle was reported on the 800 block of Post Oak Trail on Sept. 5.


Overdose- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 6 to the 500 block of Dogwood Drive. Emergency detention was mandated for an overdose.


Assault- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 4 to the Love’s located on the 715 block of South Central Expressway for a case of assault causing bodily injury and family violence.


Accident- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 4 to the Love’s located on the 715 block of South Central Expressway for report of a hit and run accident.


Violence- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 4 to the 2100 block of Cypress Way for an information report about family violence.


Assault- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 3 to the 500 block of South Powell Parkway. A man and a woman, both from Anna, were arrested for assault by contact.


Burglary- A report of burglary of vehicle was made on Sept. 3 at the 500 block of Hackberry.


Assault- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 3 to the 800 Block of Bamboo for a report of assault by threat.


DWI- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 2 to the intersection of West White Street at CR 937 for an injury accident caused by driving while intoxication. Arrest was delayed due to injuries. Warrant will be issued pending toxicology results.


Weapon- Officers were dispatched on Sept. 2 to the Dollar General located at the 700 block of West White. A man from Anna was arrested for unlawful carrying of weapon.

Injury- An injury accident located at FM 455 at CR 937 was reported on Sept. 2.


Injury- An injury accident located at the 1200 block of North Powell Parkway was reported on Sept. 5.


Non-Injury- A non-injury accident located at the intersection of West White Street and Willow Creek Drive was reported on Sept. 5.


Non-Injury- A non-injury accident located at US 75 and Foster Crossing was reported on Sept. 5.


Injury- An injury accident located at US 75 and Foster Crossing was reported on Sept. 5.


Non-Injury- A non-injury accident located at North Powell Parkway and Anthony Street was reported on Sept.6.
