The Anna Police Department will host the 34th Annual National Night Out as a part of “Building Partnerships and Combating Crime.” The event will take place at Slayter Creek Park, located at 425 W. Rosamond Pkwy. on Oct. 3 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
The event offers a chance for citizens to mingle with local law enforcement and neighbors. The Anna Fire Department will be grilling hotdogs, and a PHI Medical Helicopter will be on display, weather permitting. Entertainment will include a live band, face painting, a ballon artist, bounce house and more. McGruff the Crime Dog will also make a special appearance for younger members of the event. The newly formed police explorer post will be handing out candy and trick or treat bags as well.
“This is a great opportunity to meet the members of the Anna Police Department as well as members of the Anna Fire Department,” a statement from the Anna Police Department stated. “We encourage everyone to come out for fun, fellowship and to help us keep Anna one of the safest communities in Collin County!”
