CORRECTION: A previous version of this article erred in its description of auditorium seating for the live feed. This seating will be provided for those who do not have a ticket for graduation.
Anna Independent School District officials are recommending that families allow extra time to arrive at the class of 2017 graduation on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the Anna High School Gymnasium.
The northeast, southeast and southwest exterior doors will open at 6:00 p.m. The office entrance doors will not be unlocked for this event. Attendees who do not have a ticket will have access to seating in the auditorium for the live feed.
Due to the increased number of seniors graduating this year, graduation tickets will be required. Any person from the community who does not have a family member graduating may pick up a free ticket at the Anna High School office on May 30, 31, and June 1 from 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Everyone will access the parking lots from the West Student Entrance on Rosamond Parkway. Parking lots will be blocked off as they fill.
Once the AHS parking lots are full, all vehicles will park in the overflow parking lots located at Slayter Creek Park and Anna Middle School. Anna ISD will provide shuttle buses to and from AHS starting at 5:50 p.m.
There will be no overflow parking in the grass at AHS. The City of Anna does not permit parking on the streets of West Crossing and will be directing traffic and patrolling the area.
