On Feb. 4, officers from the Anna Police Department found a 43-year-old Princeton man deceased underneath his car, which was at the corner of FM 2862 and FM 455. It was about 7:33 p.m. when police and fire were called to the scene by a couple who had driven by and found the deceased man.
Anna Police Lieutenant Jeff Caponera said it appeared that the man had stopped the vehicle to inspect something underneath the car, but that he didn’t get the parking brake fully set. The gear slipped into reverse and rolled over the victim, Caponera said.
“Our investigation shows that this was an accident, that there’s no sign of foul play,” Caponera said.
