A Tulsa man is behind bars after being caught with more than two pounds of drugs at a local gas station in Anna.
Anna PD Lt. Jeff Caponera said that police saw the car, a Chevrolet Impala, pull up and stop at the Love’s Travel Mart, and the driver get out and go into the store. Caponera said that the officer walked past the Chevy and smelled marijuana coming from inside it. The officer then saw a large bundle of marijuana in heat-sealed plastic baggies.
Police arrested the suspect, Ian Durraine Golden, age 33, of Tulsa, inside the store, without incident. A resulting search of the vehicle uncovered more than a pound of marijuana, a pound of cocaine, and a smaller amount of liquid codeine.
Golden was booked into the Collin County Jail on second-degree felony counts of possession of controlled substance between 4-200 grams; manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance between 200-400 grams; and possession of marijuana between 4 ounces-5 pounds.. Golden’s bail is set at $9,500 and jail records show that, as of Saturday, he remained incarcerated.
Caponera said the suspect was transporting the drugs from Dallas to Tulsa.
