Boy Scout Troop 413 in Melissa takes down the old and replaces with new as they replaced the main flag at the Melissa Cemetery over the weekend. Giving the respect and honor Old Glory deserves, the Scouts carefully removed the old and tattered American flag and folded it for a future retirement ceremony. The new flag was raised with the same honor and respect. The Scouts then walked and placed flags at the veteran’s graves in time for Nov. 11 at both the Melissa Cemetery and the Saint Paul Cemetery. Boy Scout Troop 413 meets every Monday at the Melissa Christian Church at 7 p.m.
