The Southwest Bluegrass Club’s is inviting Anna and Melissa residents to its annual Masters of Bluegrass concert on Nov. 5, featuring two groups to entertain audiences of all ages.
Joe Mullins & the Radio Ramblers was recently awarded SPBGMA’s 2016 song of the year. The group has also won five IBMA awards, four SPBGMA awards and have two of Billboard’s top-selling albums and a No. 1 song on Bluegrass Today’s Top 20 Chart. Performing at a number of prestigious venues, this band is a frequent guest at the Grand Ole Opry.
Karl Shiflett & the Big Country Show is one of the most respected old-timey bluegrass and classic country bands in the industry. Their album “Take Me Back” placed in Bluegrass Music Profiles’ Top 10, and their single mike show has entertained audiences for some 25 years in the U.S., Canada and abroad.

Doors open for the concert at 5:15 p.m. with the show starting at 6 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the McKinney Performing Arts Center, located at 111 N. Tennessee St.
