How do you become a Sponsor to the Herald Democrat in Education Program?

With contributions from sponsors, it helps make the Newspapers in Education program possible. With your gift of $25, $50 or $100 it will continue to ensure that every teacher who wants the Herald Democrat for their students will receive the newspaper at no charge.

Teachers incorporate the newspaper into their curriculum in many ways. They have students identify priority words, letters, determine whether a story is fact or opinion, search for jobs, learn to budget, and discuss current events. We also run a story titled “Hank the Cowdog” that is well loved by all.

To become a new Sponsor, simply call (903) 893-8181 and we will happily provide you with all the details, however if you are familiar with the program you may renew or become a sponsor simply completing the online sponsorship form.
